成長すると、ゆっくりと葉に切れ込みが入ります

大きな葉は、空間に生き生きとした印象を与え南国の雰囲気を自宅に取り入れたかのような感覚になります

モンステラの生育期は春から秋まで続きます。この時期は活動が活発で、根から多くの水分を吸い上げます。土の表面が乾燥してきたら水をあげる目安です。1回に与える水の量は、鉢底から水が出てくる程度が適切です。
この生育期に与える水の量によって大きさをある程度調節することができますが、水のやり過ぎは根腐れやカビが発生する原因にもなるので注意しましょう。
土の表面がまだ湿っている場合は水やりをしないようにしてください。
冬は根から水を吸い上げる力も弱くなるため、冬場は少し乾燥気味の環境で育てます。土の表面が乾いているのを確認してから、3～4日ほど空けて水をあげる程度が最適です。
また、冬の時期はこまめな葉水が大切になってきます。室内に長時間暖房をつけていると葉が乾燥してしまうので定期的に霧吹きでこまめに葉の表面や気根に水をあげましょう。
